East of England The General Medical Council (GMC) has published its evaluation following check outs to medical education and training organisations in the East of England. GMC inspectors went to medical schools, medical facilities and GP surgeries who train doctors, along with assessing Heath Education East of England, which manages postgraduate training in the area. The GMC highlighted a variety of areas of great practice, in specific an outreach program run by the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) Norwich Medical School which is developed to motivate children from lower earnings backgrounds to think about a career in medicine.
